The latest media outrage over a remark from the president and how they "couch" the remark's intent, or meaning, causes me to understand more clearly why most conservatives in our country have abandon, in droves, being subjected to the meme they are obviously pushing. To me, this kind of manipulation of events in their favor - to convince those who have little to no critical thinking skills, or interest in viewing an event objectively - is what our "new world order" is today; both across the U.S. and in many countries around the globe.
In two words; political correctness.
The left has, since the '90s and the Clinton administration, very carefully and in progressively incremental steps, ratcheted up their rhetoric while shifting from from being civil and accepting of commonly understood points, to not accepting facts for what they are regarding any issue or topic which does not align with their goal. They are very adeptly targeting the youth of our nation who have insufficient life experience and more easily accept without question concepts and ideology which build on that inexperience.
After all, hasn't it been obvious that respect for elders has diminished over the last several decades? I saw it coming while raising my daughters when the cartoon series with Bart Simpson became popular, along with other sitcoms that had teens in a family setting chastising their parents and talking to them as though they were more wise than their parents who just didn't understand. This modeling to the youth of our households promoted the kind of attitudes many millennials have at corporations like Google, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and other social medias where it's become common place for left minded youth to have no compunction to call those who disagree with them racists, bigots, xenophobes, sexist or misogynists. Rather than discuss issues in a civil manner, using reason, just label one's opponent with words which attack their personal worth as individuals.
As I've said in previous posts, socialist/communists have long been implementing a long-range plan to undermine - through use of our own judicial and constitutional rights - by using these tools against us in order to gradually shift our norms and reduce our resistance to them. Sadly, they've been pretty effective as witnessed with the gender, immigration, and welfare issues.
Now, I believe, we are about to go through a situation in national politics which will shake our country to the core and prove to be ten times more disconcerting than the Watergate hearings we went through in our younger years. In my view, a president having to resign over 18 minutes of missing tape recording in the Watergate scandal is on a Kindergarten level compared to a president and former secretary of state working together to use unverified information through the F.B.I. to get a FISA warrant to spy on a presidential candidate and president-elect campaign staff.
We're talking major felonious crimes and disregard for constitutional rights here! Forget the misdemeanors.
