What's the Deal with the Green New Deal?

Yep, PragerU has come out with a factual and concise video on the issue. So, with all the misinformation swirling around out there in the Media (D), I thought I'd provide this for viewing.

Rep. Gosar Statement on Mueller Testimony

If it takes this much today to prove liberals have been lying all along because they can't accept the outcome of the election, then we're in worse trouble than we thought!
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (R-AZ-04) released the following statement after Special Counsel Robert Mueller's appearance before the House Committee on the Judiciary and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence:

“Americans are sick and tired of hearing about Robert Mueller. Mueller spent thirty million dollars, pestered over five hundred witnesses, and still found no evidence of obstruction or collusion. House Democrats continue to re-litigate the 2016 election, instead of accepting the fact that Americans duly elected Donald J. Trump as our 45th president. I wish Democrats in Congress were as passionate about securing the border as they are about harassing the Trump administration.”
And then, there's this article which has a great clip from the questioning of Mueller which turned into the great fiasco for the Democrats.

The Role of Religion in Society

This video is very short; only about 90 seconds long.

But its topic is very profound, especially in light of the growing lack of social courtesy and respect we are seeing today, such as the dowsing of police in N.Y. with buckets of water that has recently been happening. Update: Three men involved in this incident were arrested, the N.Y. Post reports.

It's worth the brief time it will take to watch, but it's more importantly worth the time to listen to... especially the last sentence.

View it here.

Think about it very carefully and ask yourself... why is this happening and what can we do to turn this around?

P.S. Then, there's the remark made in this parody about the values of the Democrats at the 2:50 mark in this video about religion which provides another example of how our respect for the rule of law has been degraded.

I Was Thinking...

While watching the sun go by this afternoon I started thinking...

I was thinking - If only 11 million people have Obama-Care, how will 24 million people die if it is repealed? Will an additional 13 million people be randomly shot?
I was thinking - If women do the same job for less money, why do companies hire men to do the same job for more money?

I was thinking - If you rob a bank in a Sanctuary City, is it illegal or is it just an Undocumented Withdrawal?

I was thinking - Each ISIS attack now is a reaction to Trump policies, but all ISIS attacks during Obama's term were due
to Climate Change and a plea for jobs.

I was thinking - If Liberals don't believe in biological gender then why did they march for women's rights?

I was thinking - Why is it that Democrats think Super delegates are fine, but they have a problem with the Electoral College?

I was thinking - The DNC is mad at Russia because they 'think' the Russians are trying to manipulate our election by exposing the DNC for manipulating our election. (Meanwhile, China laughs at just how amateur the Russians are.)

I was thinking - If Democrats don't want foreigners involved in our elections, why do they think it's all right for illegals to vote?

I was thinking - If gun control laws actually worked, Chicago would be Mayberry, USA.

I was thinking - I have no problem with vigorous background checks when it comes to firearms. While we're at it, let's do the same when it comes to immigration, Voter I.D and candidates running for office.

I was thinking - We should stop calling them all 'Entitlements'. Welfare, Food Stamps, WIC, ad nausea are not entitlements. They are taxpayer-funded handouts, and shouldn't be called entitlements at all. Social Security and Veterans Benefits are Entitlements because the people receiving them are entitled to them.  They were earned and paid for by the recipients.

Is Logic the same thing as Common Sense?

The Two Golden Rules for Political Discussion Today

An email friend sent out the message I posted previously on how Democrats over the past 50 years have stripped Social Security funds. (See Who Stole My Money?)

Today, he shared a reply from one of the liberals in his email list he'd sent it to. This person played the standard leftist response about the type of person she believes Pres. Trump is.

Here's what I sent back to him, in hopes that he would better understand what we conservatives are dealing with and are up against today in this highly toxic political environment that our President is now dealing with, and, most likely will continue dealing with as long as he's in office.

= = = = = = = = = =

If I may provide some suggestions regarding responding to liberals like Sandra...

This is Dan Bongino's Two Golden Rules of Politics today:

Rule #1: We conservatives think liberals are people with bad ideas, while liberals think conservatives are bad people with ideas.

They are NOT attacking us on our ideas. How do we know this to be so? Because in 2014 Pres. Obama gave a speech about immigration which was almost EXACTLY like Pres. Trump gave recently about immigration (those wishing to seek asylum should ask for it in the first country they step into from theirs rather than going all the way to Texas to declare it), and what was the media's reaction then? Crickets! So, it's NOT about ideas, but that we're bad people. It is about attacking and diminishing "bad people". Therefore, go after Trump and his supporters with name calling, demeaning epitaphs, etc., but never have to apologize for any of it.

This is why Sandra responds the way she did. (And, notice that she essentially ignored the points that were in the S.S. message to the point of even admitting that "...maybe the Democrats did do all those things..." then goes on to make outrageously absurd claims about Trump's character; bad person with ideas that will threaten their effort to control their progressive move towards their concept of a "utopia", or bad idea that doesn't work and never will.)
"You can bet your ass I won't be sending this on!!! Maybe the Dems did do all those things, however, Trump wants to do even worse. Besides, he's a lecherous creep, a child killer, has no respect for women, a racist, and is, maybe, a criminal.  It just hasn't been proven yet. Wait till he isn't president. AND, he is a major liar and giving away public land so big business, his buddies, can make even more money. It has never trickled down!! I'm done. I'm sending this on, back to you."
To them, this is about power, money, and controlling the narrative in politics! Yet, for us, it is about defending the principles which have provided the world a reason for nearly every other country to desire immigrating here for the benefits and opportunities it offers them. (How's that for irony?)

So, wasting your time replying to her the way you did is futile because they won't listen to "bad people". However, if you were to be saying such things in a conversation with a liberal who's arguing with you about something and it is in public, there would be value in doing so, because of the potential others who might be listening, or overhearing your discussion may realize that your points are making sense to them. This way, we can influence the thinking of those who ARE listening, and not viewing us as "bad people", but intelligent and articulate people with good ideas.

Rule #2: Liberals never get you to vote FOR them, they get you to vote AGAINST the other guy.

Were as conservatives have a platform that's been consistent for 40 or 50 years - economic freedom, personal freedom, school choice, pro-life, pro-second amendment rights, liberals do not. Liberals have been all over the map; Obama was against gay marriage, then he was for gay marriage. Obama was for asylum claims in other countries, now the Democrats are against it. You had Blue Dog Democrats who were for the 2nd Amendment in "swing states", who now can't stand the 2nd Amendment.

Democrat's platform changes all the time! Why? Because a platform is based on ideas, and again, they don't have any! They don't get you to vote for them, because they don't have a consistent set of ideas. They get you to hate the other guy, and that's where identity politics fills in the hole. They can't get you to hate the other guy's ideas. Why? Because they had the same ideas!!!

Who Took Our Money?

Being one who is soon to start getting my S.S. benefits after working nearly 50 years, I thought this would be most apropos:
= = = = = = = = = = = =
Actually,   Democrat   President Kennedy and Sergeant Shriver were the first ones to misuse the Social Security account. They used Social Security funds to start the Peace Corps. Not the first or last time our money has been taken from American citizens and given to foreign nations.
Things every US citizen should know and remember about Social Security and changes made:
A History Lesson on Your Social Security Card . . . SINCE YOU WON’T LEARN THIS IN COLLEGE & some seniors don’t know this. It's easy to check out, if you don't believe it.   Be sure and share with your family and friends .
Facts are Facts
Social Security Cards, until the 1980s, expressly stated that the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes. Because nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message…
NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION, was removed.
Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program.   He promised:
1.) That participation in the program would be completely voluntary.
No longer voluntary.
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the program.
Now 7.65% on the first $90,000.
3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year.
No longer tax deductible
4.) That the money the participants put into the independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the general operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other government program.
Under   Democrat   President Lyndon Johnson, the money was moved to the General Fund and Spent.
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.
Under   Democrats   Clinton & Gore, up to 85% of your Social Security can be taxed.
Because many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to 'put away' -- you may be interested in the following:
Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the   Democrat-controlled House   and Senate.
Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A:   The Democrat Party   .
Q: Which political party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A:   The Democrat Party . Al Gore cast the 'tie-breaking' deciding vote as President of the Senate while he was Vice President of the U.S.
Q: Which political party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
A: That's right!   Jimmy Carter and the Democrat Party.   Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The   Democrat Party   gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!
Then, after violating the original contract (FICA),   the Democrats   turn around and tell us that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!
And the worst part about it is that   uninformed citizens believe it!
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe changes will evolve.
  But it's worth a try.

The Cannibalism of Identity Politics

Before I get to today's topic, I can't resist saying that I'm convinced, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Joe Biden is totally and completely "dead in the water" when it comes to his campaign, and getting nominated... especially when he said at a recent AARP sponsored campaign pitch when talking about health care, "If you like you healthcare plan, you can keep it!" (No, I'm not kidding! He repeated the biggest political lie by B.H.O. - 20 some odd times - when promoting Obamacare.) Now, I ask you, if "W" had used his Dad's line, "Read my lips, NO NEW TAXES!" in his campaign, how well would that have worked? Unbelievable!
= = = = = = = =
For those of us who pay attention to our world today, we know just how epic of a failure the Congressional "Squad's" presser was in their attempt to strike back at Pres. Trump's tweet about taking on his challenge to show us how it's done in improving the country they themselves came from.

These four women attempted to defend themselves for their obvious and blatant racist and antisemitic rhetoric by using the tactic of calling anyone and everyone a racist. In fact, we've already heard them calling other Democrats - Nancy Pelosi for one - these labels, revealing that it only leads to self-destruction. This is the liberal's only political weapon; virtue signaling their superiority of their sensitivity to the community of color, or minority oppressed. Anyone who doesn't see the world in their way are simply disgusting, ignorant and phobic or some type of 'ist'; take you pick!

Remember the reaction which occurred during the last campaign when Hillary called all Trump supporters "Deplorables" and how well that went over for her? Now, only two years later, they've taken this weapon to a whole new level compared to Hillary's campaign remark that, I believe was the "trigger" which caused a lot of voters to say, "That's it, I've had enough of this crap!".

Well, I highly suspect that this is precisely what Pres. Trump is utilizing in his daily tweets;  a strategy of revealing just how self-destructive their weapon of identity politics is - not only for the country - but for themselves, by provoking them into eating each other alive and imploding the party by exposing it all. To me, he's clearly setting the ground for the coming campaign next summer for whoever gets the nomination for the DNC. It looks as though we're in for quite a "circus" in our next presidential election!

Should a reader need more examples of what I'm getting at, I highly recommend watching this episode of Dan Bongino's podcast on the topic. For those who didn't hear Mark Levin's remarks on these women, here's his remarks.

Standing Up Against Hatred and Slander

BY PAULA WALLACE LONERGAN
JULY 11, 2019 01:24 PM

The recent opinion piece by New York Times columnist Timothy Egan, (“The founders would gag at today’s GOP,” TNT, 7/7), was a slanderous insult to thousands of Pierce County voters, and it is time we exercised our civil right to stand against hatred and bigotry based on our political affiliation and beliefs.

We Republicans not only helped elect President Trump, but also our county executive, a majority of the Pierce County Council and a dozen state legislators representing districts throughout our county.

Egan states, “I’m terrified of the Republicans,” calling us “explicitly anti-American.” With no sound evidence, he claims Republicans oppose both freedom of speech and freedom of religion guaranteed by the First Amendment.

Allow me to set the record straight: Freedom of speech isn’t just for the New York Times. It includes the right of citizens to criticize the media’s obvious and endless hostility toward our president, whom Egan referenced as “the despot” in the White House.

As for freedom of religion, Republicans welcomed the Supreme Court’s recent decision that my home state, Maryland, was not required to remove a World War I memorial in the shape of a cross. What a breath of fresh air when Justice Alito said: “A government that roams the land, tearing down monuments with religious symbolism and scrubbing away any reference to the divine will strikes many as aggressively hostile to religion.”

I will at least acknowledge Egan for not hiding his contempt for our elected president. He extended his contemptuous name-calling to anyone who supports Trump, dismissing them as “pink-faced mobs calling for a wall at Trump rallies.”

I’m one of a growing number of Republicans who are far from ‘pink-faced” and who and recognize the need to apply existing law to stem illegal immigration.

Egan wraps up his hate-filled piece with bizarre criticism of the president’s Fourth of July celebration. He misses the point, ignoring many reasons given to be proud of America, and he offered an oddly rewritten version of our nation’s first century, claiming “Trump rolls out weapons of war to celebrate the birth of a nation that never even had much of a standing army until the 20th century...”

Ever heard of the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812 and Civil War? They were in all the newspapers.

There is a powerful irony in a journalist cramming so much divisive venom into an essay alleging the president and his party are hateful and divisive. Those who listened to his Independence Day speech heard a stirring message of pride in America and respect for all its people.

The News Tribune’s editorial page has been a forum for thoughtful comment from differing viewpoints. I don’t expect to agree with every contributor, but you erred in providing a platform for nasty and inaccurate characterization of Republican readers who, like me, care deeply about our faith, flag and family.

Thanks for granting an opportunity to set the record straight.

I've Always Wondered About AOC

From the get-go I've always had a nagging suspicion in the back of my mind about Alexandria Ocassio-Cortez; AOC.  How was it that she won against a 20 year incumbent.  How is it that she's become, in just a few months since her election, the darling of the Media (D)?  Why are they so focused on her?  Why is she so bold as a freshman congresswoman to take on the Speaker of the House, Pelosi, as she has after only a few month in Congress?

It just didn't add up until I read this article and watched the video on the bottom of it that it all fell into place.

If you've been following the political news at all lately, you most likely heard how AOC's "Chief of Staff" from her office recently unintentionally told Gov. Jay Inslee, (D)-WA, who's currently still running for President, the true intentions of the Green New Deal.  Well, what this guy in the video in this article explains is why it makes sense and all falls into place.

We can only hope that this dude gets prosecuted by the Feds soon for his illegal mishandling of campaign funds, or these Justice Democrats are going to have their "actor/actress" in the White House sooner than we think.

Was Jesus a Socialist?

In today's shifting trends, thanks to the ability of instant communication with social media, many who haven't spent the time to study the Bible, learned logic, or have been persuaded by someone who is admired, the idea has been perpetuated, as it has in the past by some, that Jesus was a socialist.

The reasons given to support this claim as legitimate are legion. However, those reasons given don't hold water, or support the obvious facts... as this latest PragerU video adeptly points out.

The Ridiculousness of Today's Social Media

Since the advent of social media a few decades ago it hasn't taken long to see just how absurd the younger generation is when it comes to issues that don't matter.

Take the most recent example of Nike pulling the sale of the Betsy Ross Flag on the heel because their new marketing "poster boy" (otherwise known in corporate parlance as their P.R. guy) Colin Kaepernick expressed his feelings about it by saying that it was a symbol of oppression of a nation that had slaves. Paaaaleeeeze! What can't these people get over it? (The introductory statements by Don Henley are so appropriate regarding this phenom of the younger genearations. And, note the date!)

This tactic is a prime example of how liberals use social media to promote a meme that takes something - whatever it is - and treats it as though it suddenly matters. Such a tactic is how the liberals change the rules in the middle of a game to both confuse and retain control of the narrative for changing the culture to their own utopian perspective.

To illustrate just how absurd such a claim is, for those who've not seen this, you will laugh when viewing it. This link provides a January 2013 inaugural photo of the flags hung on the Congressional building for Pres. Obama's second term. Question: Why wasn't this offensive then? If it was offensive as a symbol, why didn't Obama's sycophants call it out? Better yet, why wasn't it taken down?

Comparing this with Nike's recalling the sale of their shoe that Colin found offensive illustrates just how absurd and petty our social mindset today has become... mainly because of how instantly a single individual can make a claim that is what amounts to a cultural "sucker punch", and how the liberals who are always looking for a way to bad mouth the country that's given them the best opportunity - which they don't even have the intelligence to realize is so - they could ever want out of all other countries of the world.

For another perspective on this issue - if you're not already up to your eyeballs on this idiotic topic - is found at Real Clear Politics.
