Has Common Sense Been Resurected From the Grave?

We've all most likely received that email about the death of common sense and a separate one bemoaning the unfairness about how those of us seeking employment with some companies requires a drug test to prove you're not user - addicted or recreational - yet, our wages have been garnished by local, county, or state taxes to pay for drug addiction rehabilitation while no requirement exists to screen them for collecting welfare support every month while sitting around watching Jerry Springer on their flat screen while using their EBT card to buy and drink from their favorite energy drink.

Well, it appears that Australia has mustered sufficient momentum in their country to implement a plan to do what we Americans have yet to do... require drug testing of those collecting subsistence from the taxpayers.

Some day here in America.... some day.

My Congressman's View on Immigration

Below is a paragraph from an email Congressman Adam Smith (D) of the 9th Cong. District, sent me. What makes me more sick about how this paragraph reads, is the fact that this "nut case" has been re-elected here in the Puget Sound region of WA since the early '90s... far too long, and needs to go!

"The 9th Congressional District has an incredible coalition of organizations working everyday to advocate for immigrants and refugees. My office convened an Immigration Roundtable to discuss recent executive orders and aggressive Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions, and the resulting fears among the immigrant and refugee communities. I appreciated hearing from community leaders about their advocacy, and look forward to working together to ensure we allow for immigrants to become productive members of our society. This will only strengthen our communities, our economy, and our country's future."

It appears that the liberals here in WA see advocacy as a virtue... even if it means breaking the law by completely ignoring the federal laws about harboring and protecting illegal immigrants from being deported. How ironic that even the elected liberals who've been sworn in to "...protect and defend the Constitution of the United Sates." see no problem with this attitude. Since when is upholding existing law, passed by a partisan Congress years ago, "aggressive"?

And... when he says that such action "...will only strengthen our communities..." what he's REALLY saying is that it will provide the Democrats a stronger base of dependents from which to get re-elected from.

If Cong. Smith is looking forward to working with community leaders to ensure illegals are allowed to stay in the country to take jobs away from those citizens who are legally here in the country, then perhaps he should be replaced by someone who recognizes that such action is also illegal. That's right, working against the existing laws which he most likely voted for decades ago when he was an "upstart" Congressman.

Are These Our Future Leaders?

From an Oregon Resident:

While I was getting a coffee, I overheard 7 young people (22-26 years old, 5 males, 2 female) who have been protesting in downtown Portland the last two nights.

 

I told them I was doing research and asked nicely if they would answer some questions. They were cool with it, so I sat down and went for it.

 

Ø Three voted. Of the four who didn't, none was registered to vote.

 

Ø None of them researched independently either candidate.

 

Ø All were for Hillary but preferred Bernie.

 

Ø Why the Democratic Candidate?

· "More things are taken care of."
· "Time to have a woman President."
· "Democrats aren't sexist or racist."

 

Ø Six of them live at home.

 

Ø All are under their parents insurance.

 

Ø Two have "real" jobs.

 

Ø Three aren't working, nor are they trying hard to find a job either.

 

Ø Parents pay for everything in their life or subsidize it.

 

Ø Six get money from mom or dad every month.

 

Ø Two have been on unemployment for 6+ months.

 

Ø One is at Portland State U, doesn't work, and parents pay for everything.

 

Ø All 7 said Trump is a racist/sexist. I asked to cite proof ... "That tape, man!"

 

Ø When I asked, as a man myself, “Have you ever said anything like that when you've been hanging out with your buddies? All five males said "Yes."

 

Ø Would you say it if you knew you were on tape? All five answered "No."

 

Ø What's the difference? I asked. “You've all said bad stuff like that.

Does that mean you hate women and are a sexual predator?"

 

Nothing. No answer.

 

Ø None could tell me how our government works ... they didn't know how laws are passed, how the House of Representatives or the Senate work.

 

Ø None could explain how a bill is passed.

 

Ø Only one could tell me the difference between legal and illegal immigration. One of them said, "Legal immigration is when you immigrate legally." Seriously.

 

Ø None could explain the purpose of the Electoral College or how it works.

 

In 10 minutes they felt they had explained everything. Nice kids ... but so ignorant. I know some awesome, phenomenal young adults; but I'm afraid the majority are like these seven. Too many participation trophies, too much coddling by parents and teachers.

 

In 1944 18 year-olds stormed the beach at Normandy into almost certain death.

 

In 2016 18-year-olds feel unsafe because words hurt their feelings.

 

Admit it or not, this country is in deep "do do"!

Finally... A Positive Story About Our U.S. Flag!

With all the negative stories bombarding the country in the media every day, it's a nice change to see this story posted about a high school and its principal in Richmond, VA.

What Our Own Government & Media Is Not Telling Us

Today our media is abuzz with so many stories and articles attempting to make President Trump appear illegitimate and completely ignorant on how to deal with the politics of a federal government bureaucracy. Yet, very little, if any, is said in the mainstream press about a very real and potentially devastating blow which an enemy of the U.S. could possibly carry out that would change everything in the blink of an eye.

I'll admit I am not "up to speed" on just what our own military has done, if anything during the last administration to prepare for such a possible event, but as we watch Iran and North Korea continue to gear up with more frequent missile launches, the potential for an Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) is rapidly becoming more possible with every passing day. I pray that, if Pres. Trump is doing anything to strengthen our military and national defenses, it is hardening our defenses against such a possibility.

As this article points out, currently our missile defense system doesn't look to the south for an approaching missile; only north to the Arctic pole because of our cold war fears of the '50s. So, it would seem logical that a newer south looking missile defense system would be in short order here.

Just what would an EMP hit over the North American continent do to us? Well, a lot more than you think. Check here, and here, for some starters on what we're dealing with; it's not pretty!

I'm noticing that a lot of people aren't graciously accepting the fact that their candidate lost. In fact you seem to be posting even more hateful things about those who voted for Trump. Some are apparently "triggered" because they are posting how "sick" you feel about the results. How did this happen you ask? Well here is how it happened! You created "us" when you attacked our freedom of speech. You created "us" when you attacked our right to bear arms. You created "us" when you attacked our Christian beliefs. You created "us" when you constantly referred to us as racists. You created "us" when you constantly called us xenophobic. You created "us" when you told us to get on board or get out of the way. You created "us" when you attacked our flag. You created "us" when you took God out of our schools. You created "us" when you confused women's rights with feminism. You created "us" when you began to emasculate men. You created "us" when you decided to make our children soft.   You created "us" when you decided to vote for progressive ideals. You created "us" when you attacked our way of life. You created "us" when you decided to let our government get out of control. You created "us" the silent majority. You created "us" when you began murdering innocent law enforcement officers. You created "us" when you lied and said we could keep our insurance plans and our doctors. You created "us" when you allowed our jobs to continue to leave our country. You created "us" when you took a knee, or stayed seated or didn't remove your hat during our National Anthem. You created "us" when you forced us to buy health care and then financially penalized us for not participating. And we became fed up and we pushed back and spoke up.   And we did it with ballots, not bullets. With ballots, not riots.With ballots, not looting. With ballots, not blocking traffic. With ballots, not fires, except the one you started inside of "us". "YOU" created "US". It really is just that simple.
