Flip-Flopping Takes on a Whole New Dimension!

The circus - also known as the Swamp Critters who reside in Congress - regarding the firing of F.B.I. Director James Comey has them stumbling and fumbling all over themselves. It's enough to make one laugh uncontrollably.

The Future "Brave New World"

In reading this article about education and what the future holds for the value of it, I couldn't help but be a bit amused by the last paragraph's point the author made regarding what he considers to be most important as abilities for handling our future societal circumstance.

Why? Because today it seems that the snowflakes at the institutions of "higher learning" - more appropriately IMHO, indoctrination centers for Marxist wanna-bes - we seem to be swerving in the wrong direction for "emotional intelligence and mental balance".

Based on what I've shared in my more recent posts, it seems we're heading rapidly in a direction of emotional deficiency and mental imbalance, if you ask me. (And, since this is my blog, you don't have to.)

Understanding the Ideology of Today's Protestors, Liberals & Progressives

In striving to understand why what is going on today is going on, and IMHO it seems to be clear that it's bloomed into full force as a result of the previous administration's leader, I've compiled what I believe to be a collection of videos which do a fair job of it. It's my belief that if we don't understand this, we will not be sufficiently able to counter its momentum towards full-blown Fascism here in America:

Let's begin with the classic and late George Carlin in his audio/video for earlier views on the issue of political correctness.

Here are a few notes from this video to refer back to since the speaker covers a lot of points very rapidly.

Postmodernism is the idea that everything, including value systems, should be questioned. Postmodernists want to replace objectiveness with their own thoughts, their own subjective thoughts. It is inherently nihilistic. A kind of "cosmic pessimism". Active nihilists tend to adopt personal, all encompassing ideologies; Marxism being a prime example. At the root of Marxism is personal identity. They think that "us" descenting against their ideas is descension against who they are, therefore, it's hate speech to disagree with them. To disagree with them is tantamount to a crime. (Note: In the video clip of a crowd chanting notice what the female - or however this person identifies - says regarding how Jay argues his position in the situation he's in. Quite ironic, if you think about it.)

Another perspective on Free Speech from Prager University, and another here on "Facts Don't Care About Feelings" by Ben Shapiro. But, while we're on a roll, let's take a look at "A Progressive's Guide to Political Correctness" by George Will.

This example of a campus protest caused by a hoax letter is not a surprise to me. Students who I taught in 8th grade about seven years ago were just as void of any virtuous principle and values as these current college students. As one individual sharing their point said, "If the writer had been another student who was white and male, that person would've been condemned, demonized and expelled. This won't happen to the person who wrote the note. That person is black and female. Funny how that works." We've not seen the end to this kind of immaturity on their part either.

But, to cap this topic off, here's a modern example of a P.C. Warrior (a.k.a. Marxist wana-be) who thinks she can impose her concept of Utopia on others with no sense of public decency or panash. (Warning: Strong language used for those who don't care to hear it.) I have a few questions:
  • Is her approach an appropriate way to address her concerns?
  • Does she have no social skills, or understanding that she's a customer and may not know the circumstances regarding the sudden appearance of the "objectionable" rug?
  • Does she really think that taking the "activitst" role as a customer is the way to address her concerns over the rug and get the store to cooperate?
Granted, the employees who dealt with the woman in the store didn't handle the situation appropriately. If I were an employee encountering this person objecting to the rug in question, I would simply reply with, "I'm sorry you feel that way, but we will discuss the matter with our owner and deal with it. Thanks for shopping at Everyday Deals, and have a nice day!"

Gonzaga U. Hires Professor Who Engaged in Campus Protests

Here's what I sent to several administrators, where I got my masters degree from, today.

Here's a link - which I now wish I'd also provided in this letter - of what originally happened last year at UMiss.

May 11, 2017

Dear Office of Planned Giving:

Earlier last month I emailed several administrators to communicate my reason for not supporting Gonzaga University any more. I send this letter to you, after receiving it in the mail today, to let you know why I shall NOT provide any funds for scholarships to this institution.

I learned, accidentally, that Gonzaga University saw fit to hire a professor who had resigned from southern college, UMiss, for having been involved in a campus protest by requesting “muscle” to be applied to a reporter who was present at the event to remove him; thereby denying said reporter of his Constitutional First Amendment right as a member of the press.

As a Constitutionalist, this revelation tells me that the administration of Gonzaga does not consider a professor who commits such an act, and was essentially forced from that college, as anything to be concerned about by hiring her; Melissa Click. Furthermore, it has come to my attention that Gonzaga is engaging in educating its student today to believe that America is guilty of social “sins”, is evil, and is training “social warriors” to believe that America must pay for those “sins” - such as slavery – through reparations to those who simply have the skin color to indicate they deserve those reparations, like so many of the other institutions of higher learning today.

Therefore, I do not care, nor am I interested in promoting an institution of higher learning which engages in such anti-patriotic actions and philosophies that are striving to overthrow America. I also, therefore, request that your office and this college, permanently remove my name and address from their database records, as I no longer wish to receive any further communications from Gonzaga.

I ask that you forward this message to other departments and administrators to provide them with input as to why those of us who served our country in the military in the past feel the way we do about what is happening to our country.

Respectfully,

Jon M. Higley - Air Force Veteran

Has Common Sense Been Resurected From the Grave?

We've all most likely received that email about the death of common sense and a separate one bemoaning the unfairness about how those of us seeking employment with some companies requires a drug test to prove you're not user - addicted or recreational - yet, our wages have been garnished by local, county, or state taxes to pay for drug addiction rehabilitation while no requirement exists to screen them for collecting welfare support every month while sitting around watching Jerry Springer on their flat screen while using their EBT card to buy and drink from their favorite energy drink.

Well, it appears that Australia has mustered sufficient momentum in their country to implement a plan to do what we Americans have yet to do... require drug testing of those collecting subsistence from the taxpayers.

Some day here in America.... some day.

My Congressman's View on Immigration

Below is a paragraph from an email Congressman Adam Smith (D) of the 9th Cong. District, sent me. What makes me more sick about how this paragraph reads, is the fact that this "nut case" has been re-elected here in the Puget Sound region of WA since the early '90s... far too long, and needs to go!

"The 9th Congressional District has an incredible coalition of organizations working everyday to advocate for immigrants and refugees. My office convened an Immigration Roundtable to discuss recent executive orders and aggressive Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions, and the resulting fears among the immigrant and refugee communities. I appreciated hearing from community leaders about their advocacy, and look forward to working together to ensure we allow for immigrants to become productive members of our society. This will only strengthen our communities, our economy, and our country's future."

It appears that the liberals here in WA see advocacy as a virtue... even if it means breaking the law by completely ignoring the federal laws about harboring and protecting illegal immigrants from being deported. How ironic that even the elected liberals who've been sworn in to "...protect and defend the Constitution of the United Sates." see no problem with this attitude. Since when is upholding existing law, passed by a partisan Congress years ago, "aggressive"?

And... when he says that such action "...will only strengthen our communities..." what he's REALLY saying is that it will provide the Democrats a stronger base of dependents from which to get re-elected from.

If Cong. Smith is looking forward to working with community leaders to ensure illegals are allowed to stay in the country to take jobs away from those citizens who are legally here in the country, then perhaps he should be replaced by someone who recognizes that such action is also illegal. That's right, working against the existing laws which he most likely voted for decades ago when he was an "upstart" Congressman.
