The calm is gradually giving way to the storm in California as the state is moving toward secession as as a sanctuary haven with the greatest population of illegal immigrants in the nation. To see that happen, a high school teacher in Oakland - an east bay area city just south of Berkeley - has invited into her class the far left By Any Means Necessary organization of rioters - who, as this story reveals - were participants in the earlier Berkeley riots when Milo Yinnapolis was to speak at that college.
Apparently the school administration has no qualms at all about this going on. This teacher seems to have free reign over what she teaches to her students.
Maybe this will be the fulfillment of the earlier prophecy that California would some day fall off the west coast of the continent and into the sea.

Why James Comey Had to Go
Why James Comey Had to
Go
The
FBI head’s sense of perfect virtue led him to ignore his own enormous
conflicts.
POTOMAC
WATCH - MAY 12, 2017
By
Kimberley A. Strassel of the Wall Street Journal
Testifying
last week before the Senate Judiciary Committee, James Comey recalled a moment
that should have held more significance for him than it did. At the height of
the presidential campaign, President Obama’s attorney general, Loretta Lynch,
had chosen to meet with Bill Clinton on an airport tarmac. That, said the
now-former FBI director, “was the capper for me.” Hillary Clinton’s emails were
being probed, but Ms. Lynch was too conflicted to “credibly complete the
investigation.” So Mr. Comey stepped in.
Donald
Trump and senior Justice Department leaders might appreciate the impulse.
According to Democrats and the media, Attorney General Jeff Sessions is too
conflicted to recommend sacking Mr. Comey; the Trump administration is too
conflicted to name a successor; the entire Justice Department and the Republican
Congress are too conflicted to conduct true oversight.
Entirely
missing from this narrative is the man who was perhaps the most conflicted of
all: James Comey. The FBI head was so good at portraying himself as Washington’s
last Boy Scout—the only person who ever did the right thing—that few noticed his
repeated refusal to do the right thing. Mr. Comey might
still have a job if, on any number of occasions, he’d acknowledged his own
conflicts and stepped back.
Deputy
Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s memo to Mr. Sessions expertly excoriated Mr.
Comey’s decision to “usurp” Ms. Lynch’s authority and his “gratuitously” fulsome
July press conference. But Mr. Comey’s dereliction of duty preceded that—by his
own admission. Remember, he testified that the Lynch-Clinton meeting was but the
“capper.” Before that, he told lawmakers, “a number of things had gone on which
I can’t talk about yet that made me worry the department leadership could not
credibly complete the investigation.”
We
don’t know what these things were, but it seems the head of the FBI had lost
confidence— even before Tarmac-Gate—that the Justice Department was playing it
anywhere near straight in the Clinton probe. So what should an honor-bound FBI
director do in such a conflicted situation? Call it out. Demand that Ms. Lynch
recuse herself and insist on an appropriate process to ensure public confidence.
Resign, if need be. Instead Mr. Comey waited until the situation had become a
crisis, and then he ignored all protocol to make himself investigator, attorney,
judge and jury.
By
the end of that 15-minute July press conference, Mr. Comey had infuriated both
Republicans and Democrats, who were now universally convinced he was playing
politics. He’d undermined his and
his agency’s integrity. No matter his motives, an honorbound director would have
acknowledged that his decision jeopardized his ability to continue effectively
leading the agency. He would have chosen in the following days—or at least after
the election—to step down. Mr. Comey didn’t.
Which
leads us to Mr. Comey’s most recent and obvious conflict of all—likely a primary
reason he was fired: the leaks investigation (or rather non-investigation). So
far the only crime that has come to light from this Russia probe is the rampant
and felonious leaking of classified information to the press. Mr. Trump and the
GOP rightly see this as a major risk to national security. While the National
Security Agency has been cooperating with the House Intelligence Committee and
allowing lawmakers to review documents that might show the source of the leaks,
Mr. Comey’s FBI has resolutely refused to do the same.
Why?
The press reports that the FBI obtained a secret court order last summer to
monitor Carter Page. It’s still unclear exactly under what circumstances the
government
was listening in on former Trump adviser Mike Flynn and the Russian ambassador,
but the FBI was likely involved there, too. Meaning Mr. Comey’s agency is a
prime possible source of the leaks.
In
last week’s Senate hearing, Chairman Chuck Grassley pointed out the obvious: The
entire top leadership of the FBI is suspect. “So how,” Mr. Grassley asked, “can
the Justice Department guarantee the integrity of the investigations without
designating an agency, other than the FBI, to gather the facts and eliminate
senior FBI officials as suspects?” Mr. Comey didn’t provide much of an
answer.
All
this—the Russia probe, the unmasking, the leaks, the fraught question of whether
the government was inappropriately monitoring campaigns, the allegations of
interference in a presidential campaign—is wrapped together, with Mr. Comey at
the center. The White House and House Republicans couldn’t have faith that the
FBI would be an honest broker of the truth. Mr. Comey should have realized this,
recused himself from ongoing probes, and set up a process to restore trust. He
didn’t. So the White House did it for him.
Colleagues
describe Mr. Comey as an honorable man. The problem seems to be that his sense
of perfect virtue made him blind to his own conflicts and the mess he had made.
New leadership at the FBI is a chance for a fresh start.

Yep, Crime Does Pay!
I just discovered some news that impacts me personally. While my next older brother, who was murdered by a 17 year old gang member, has been dead for 27 years, both his assailant and the man responsible for allowing his assailant to get out of prison early, are both alive and benefiting from the policies of a liberal, nihilist, postmodernist, socialist mindset of "justice" that prevails in my state today.
Instead of going into the details, which could take up more than most would want to read, I'm providing the link here to my readers of the outcome of the man who partly responsible for the early release a double-homicide perpetrator - he also killed another man with my brother at the same time - getting out of prison and the Victim's Notification Program, of which I had registered with for the purpose of being notified when he was to be released - DID NOT contact me and let me know this was the case.

Flip-Flopping Takes on a Whole New Dimension!
The Future "Brave New World"
Why? Because today it seems that the snowflakes at the institutions of "higher learning" - more appropriately IMHO, indoctrination centers for Marxist wanna-bes - we seem to be swerving in the wrong direction for "emotional intelligence and mental balance".
Based on what I've shared in my more recent posts, it seems we're heading rapidly in a direction of emotional deficiency and mental imbalance, if you ask me. (And, since this is my blog, you don't have to.)
Understanding the Ideology of Today's Protestors, Liberals & Progressives
In striving to understand why what is going on today is going on, and IMHO it seems to be clear that it's bloomed into full force as a result of the previous administration's leader, I've compiled what I believe to be a collection of videos which do a fair job of it. It's my belief that if we don't understand this, we will not be sufficiently able to counter its momentum towards full-blown Fascism here in America:
Let's begin with the classic and late George Carlin in his audio/video for earlier views on the issue of political correctness.
= = = = = =
Here are a few notes from this video to refer back to since the speaker covers a lot of points very rapidly.
Postmodernism is the idea that everything, including value systems, should be questioned. Postmodernists want to replace objectiveness with their own thoughts, their own subjective thoughts. It is inherently nihilistic. A kind of "cosmic pessimism". Active nihilists tend to adopt personal, all encompassing ideologies; Marxism being a prime example. At the root of Marxism is personal identity. They think that "us" descenting against their ideas is descension against who they are, therefore, it's hate speech to disagree with them. To disagree with them is tantamount to a crime. (Note: In the video clip of a crowd chanting notice what the female - or however this person identifies - says regarding how Jay argues his position in the situation he's in. Quite ironic, if you think about it.)
= = = = =
Another perspective on Free Speech from Prager University, and another here on "Facts Don't Care About Feelings" by Ben Shapiro. But, while we're on a roll, let's take a look at "A Progressive's Guide to Political Correctness" by George Will.
This example of a campus protest caused by a hoax letter is not a surprise to me. Students who I taught in 8th grade about seven years ago were just as void of any virtuous principle and values as these current college students. As one individual sharing their point said, "If the writer had been another student who was white and male, that person would've been condemned, demonized and expelled. This won't happen to the person who wrote the note. That person is black and female. Funny how that works." We've not seen the end to this kind of immaturity on their part either.
But, to cap this topic off, here's a modern example of a P.C. Warrior (a.k.a. Marxist wana-be) who thinks she can impose her concept of Utopia on others with no sense of public decency or panash. (Warning: Strong language used for those who don't care to hear it.) I have a few questions:

- Is her approach an appropriate way to address her concerns?
- Does she have no social skills, or understanding that she's a customer and may not know the circumstances regarding the sudden appearance of the "objectionable" rug?
- Does she really think that taking the "activitst" role as a customer is the way to address her concerns over the rug and get the store to cooperate?
Gonzaga U. Hires Professor Who Engaged in Campus Protests
Here's what I sent to several administrators, where I got my masters degree from, today.
Here's a link - which I now wish I'd also provided in this letter - of what originally happened last year at UMiss.
May 11, 2017
Dear Office of Planned Giving:
Earlier last month I emailed several administrators to communicate my reason for not supporting Gonzaga University any more.
I send this letter to you, after receiving it in the mail today, to let
you know why I shall NOT provide any funds for scholarships to this
institution.
I
learned, accidentally, that Gonzaga University saw fit to hire a
professor who had resigned from southern college, UMiss, for having been
involved in a campus protest by requesting “muscle” to be applied to a reporter
who was present at the event to remove him; thereby denying said
reporter of his Constitutional First Amendment right as a member of the
press.
As
a Constitutionalist, this revelation tells me that the administration
of Gonzaga does not consider a professor who commits such an act, and
was essentially forced from that college, as anything to be concerned
about by hiring her; Melissa Click. Furthermore, it has come to my
attention that Gonzaga is engaging in educating its student today to
believe that America is guilty of social “sins”, is evil, and is
training “social warriors” to believe that America must pay for those
“sins” - such as slavery – through reparations to those who simply have
the skin color to indicate they deserve those reparations, like so many
of the other institutions of higher learning today.
Therefore,
I do not care, nor am I interested in promoting an institution of
higher learning which engages in such anti-patriotic actions and
philosophies that are striving to overthrow America. I also, therefore,
request that your office and this college, permanently remove my name
and address from their database records, as I no longer wish to receive
any further communications from Gonzaga.
I
ask that you forward this message to other departments and
administrators to provide them with input as to why those of us who
served our country in the military in the past feel the way we do about
what is happening to our country.
Respectfully,
Jon M. Higley - Air Force Veteran
