What News Needs to Have More of!

A man, fresh out of prison, skips his job interview while riding a bus, to jump off after witnessing a car crash to help the driver. Others learn of his heroic action and raise funds for him and his infant son.

For details, go here to learn more about how this is so edifying to learn about, compared to the ridiculous garbage that the mainstream media is pushing these days.

Oh... If ONLY!

Yes, if only more school staffs had the temerity to do this at their own school! But what am I saying? I should know better because those teachers who might have an inclination to do something like what is on this video from an Australian school are intimidated and cowed by the political correctness which is rampant to a degree of incredible insanity and disconnectedness from reality.

I say this because before I quit teaching full-time in the public school system where I live I experienced enough of it to see what our culture was headed for nearly ten years ago. Now it's flowered fully at the colleges and universities across the U.S. Evergreen College in Olympia, Washington- watch this HBO produced video near the bottom of this article about this incident for a more recent update on what has happened - is one prime example, to mention just one.

Government Can't Fix Healthcare

A few years ago when the Affordable Healthcare Act was the focus of discussion for the nation, I was doing security work for an NFL team in their stadium. I would occasionally invite a befriended job associate to carpool with me from our area into the metropolis for a game. She was a single mother who had seen some hard times and I would gladly do what I could to support her by offering her a ride when our schedules synched. On the way up the freeway to the games, we would converse about various topics.

When it came to discussing healthcare, she would argue for it and I would do my best to point out how it sounded good, but was going to turn out to be a "boondoggle" for the country. She countered with the standard argument points that supported individuals like her for getting the healthcare she needed due to he inability to pay. We had a good discussion and maintained civility during our exchanges, but I couldn't get it across as well as I'd hoped that it would eventually create a negative situation for the whole country. Most specifically, I tried pointing out how it would be a system which would make everyone equally miserable under it.

Oh, how I wish I'd had this brief video to show her back then! Perhaps then, she'd more clearly understand just why Obamacare was a bad idea.

Now, years later after being implemented, that Obamacare has essentially imploded and is failing miserably across the country, the irony of getting it repealed is very revealing when conservatives have control of all three branches of our federal government, yet, we can't manage to get a true repeal of this mess. The "moderates" of the GOP who are in control - McConnell, McCain, Graham, et al - do NOT want to get rid of Obamacare and are successfully blocking any bills which would actually repeal and replace it. Instead, they are retaining the key provisions of Obamacare while the media is helping the liberals spout outright lies about how many people will "die" if it's repealed and replaced. Why? Ponder the word "lobbyists" for a while and you'll figure it out.

Notice, though, that the standard parlance about this topic uses two words; repeal and replace. Why should we replace such an atrocity with another set of government "fingers" in our healthcare? There's no need for us to have a replacement program if the government will take its hands off a sector of a private sector of 1/5th of our economy and remove the many government restriction to it - like insurance being allowed to cross over state lines - so that competition can actually provide both lower cost and high quality coverage.

Black, Female, Millennial and Conservative?

The current moves by leftist's actions are clearly revealing just how fascist their views are.

Consider what this black, female, conservative millennial has to say about her personal experience of being a feminist, pro-choice, progressive who began to question assumptions about the contradictions of her views.

What you learn will most likely surprise you.

The Truth From Two Old Marines

A quote from a WWII veteran overhearing someone say that "You can't bomb an ideology.":

"The hell you can't, because we did it. These Muslims are no different than the [Imperial] Japanese; the Japs had their suicide bombers too. And we stopped them. What it takes is the resolve and will to use a level of brutality and violence that your generations can't stomach And until you can, this shit won't stop.

It took us on the beaches with bullets, clearing out caves with flame throwers, and men like LeMay burning down their cities, killing people by the tens of thousands. And then it took two atom bombs on top of it! Plus, we had to bomb the shit out of German cities to get them to quit fighting. But, if that was what it took to win, we were willing to do it.

Until you are willing to do the same...well I hope you enjoy this shit, because it ain't going to stop! Back then, we had leadership, resolve, resources and determination. Today we're afraid to hurt people's feelings....and worry about which bathroom to piss in!"

Snowflake Argument, Really?

The argument put forth in CBS's recent Sunday Morning show is a perfect example of just how out of touch with the reality of things are with the left today.

Let's see if I can articulate it adequately...

A history of its origin is provided, then we're told its use by conservatives is intended to be an insult to liberals. Then, we're told we should view this label as a "badge of honor" and it actually correctly identifies just how unique and special everyone is.

Wait a minute!!! This explanation has got it all wrong, folks! The use of today's term "snowflake" by conservatives about liberal millennials is to describe the coddled, narrow-minded, immature, inexperienced to the realities of the world, slanted and biased mindset of liberal ideology which says, "My way of viewing things is correct and you're just a bigoted, homophobic, racist, sexist white male xenophobe.", reveals to us that they actually have no clue about which they're claiming others are. It's that simple! They just want their immature way, and that's all there is to it when this term is given to them. (I suggest viewing the previous post titled, "Straight Out of Harvard" for understanding the mindset of which I am referring to.)

And to cap it all off, she tells us at the very  end of her presentation that this reminds us all of how much we need "climate change, in politics". If this doesn't explain clearly enough how ridiculous her attempt at providing her viewer/listeners an understanding of just how stupid this is, then you've drunk the kool-aide!

Straight Out of Havard

I received the following message from a friend. Just watch it - see link below - and see for yourself, then decide.

Given the type of garbage - and by "garbage" I mean faux creations which are staged and intended to elicit a viral impact on the Internet - that is put out by so many these days, I am a bit dubious to believe that this is an actual selfie recording of what happened to someone. If this is the case, which I strongly suspect it is, then cudos to her acting, because it's very convincing.

However, because this very attitude, which was demonstrated by some of my former students when I was still teaching, I am inclined to believe this illustrates the core mind-set of the left's youth - a.k.a. millennials - to a "T".

I got this type of attitude from some students who demanded a "B" on a test they got a "D" or "F" on because they felt they deserved it. So, this is actually no surprise to me and causes me to doubt that it's a "set-up" production.

If this video is merely a faux one, then she performs it to perfection. For me, this is a great way of illustrating the massive divide between Ivy League colleges and the world of business which exists today.
