This was what one of the signs said during a protest at Evergreen State College in Olympia recently.
Yes, students at this college, which made national news in June of 2017 for holding a professor hostage and rioting against the college's president over their demands to hold a "whites free" day, are back at it this year.
Their issue? Don't hire two more police officers for the campus and provide them with guns as part of their uniform, rather, have them promote fun on the campus. Oh, and just offer them candy. Seriously!
This, at its essence, is a prime example of how ignorance, ideological delusion, and group think produces a lack of reason and acceptance for maintaining law and order among a diverse group who've convinced themselves that everyone has only altruistic intentions.
It also demonstrates how these coddled and spoiled students believe that life is nothing more than getting what they demand.
I guess they're going to find out they're attending the school of hard knocks. Use this link to get further details from MyNorthwest.com.

If It Weren't For Them!
The sacrifice these men gave to defend freedom is sadly no longer taught in our schools today. |
As
I came out of the supermarket that sunny day, pushing my cart of
groceries towards my car, I saw an old man with the hood of his car up
and a lady sitting inside the car, with the door open.
The old man was looking at the engine.
I put my groceries away in my car, and continued to watch the old gentleman from about twenty five feet away.
I saw a young man in his early twenties with a grocery bag in his arm walking towards the old man. The old gentleman saw him coming too, and took a few steps towards him.
I saw the old gentleman point to his open hood and say something. The young man put his grocery bag into what looked like a brand new Cadillac Escalade. He then turned back to the old man. I heard him yell at the old gentleman saying:"You shouldn't even be allowed to drive a car at your age." And then with a wave of his hand, he got in his car and peeled rubber out of the parking lot.
I saw the old gentleman pull out his handkerchief, and mop his brow as he went back to his car and again looked at the engine. He then went to his wife and spoke with her; he appeared to tell her it would be okay.
I had seen enough, and I approached the old man.
He saw me coming and stood straight, and as I got near him I said, 'Looks like you're having a problem.'
He smiled sheepishly, and quietly nodded his head.
I looked under the hood myself, and knew that, whatever the problem was, it was beyond me.
Looking around, I saw a gas station up the road, and I told the old man that I would be right back. I drove to the station and I went inside. I saw three attendants working on cars. I approached one of them, and related the problem the old man had with his car. I offered to pay them if they could follow me back down and help him.
The old man had pushed the heavy car under the shade of a tree and appeared to be comforting his wife. When he saw us he straightened up and thanked me for my help. As the mechanics diagnosed the problem (overheated engine), I spoke with the old gentleman.
When I shook hands with him earlier, he had noticed my Marine Corps ring and had commented about it, telling me that he had been a Marine too. I nodded and asked the usual question, 'What outfit did you serve with?'
He had mentioned that he served with the first Marine Division at Tarawa, Saipan, Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal ...

He had hit all the big ones and retired from the Corps after the war was over. As we talked we heard the car engine come on and saw the mechanics lower the hood. They came over to us as the old man reached for his wallet, but was stopped by me. I told him I would just put the bill on my AAA card.
He still reached for the wallet and handed me a card that I assumed had his name and address on it and I stuck it in my pocket. We shook hands all around again, and I said my goodbye's to his wife.
I then told the two mechanics that I would follow them back up to the station. Once at the station, I told them that they had interrupted their own jobs to come along with me and help the old man. I said I wanted to pay for the help, but they refused to charge me.
One of them pulled out a card from his pocket, looking exactly like the card the old man had given to me. Both of the men told me then that they were Marine Corps Reserves. Once again we shook hands all around and as I was leaving, one of them told me I should look at the card the old man had given to me. I said I would and drove off.
For some reason I had gone about two blocks, when I pulled over and took the card out of my pocket and looked at it for a long, long time. The name of the old gentleman was on the card in golden leaf and under his name was
written:'Congressional Medal of Honor Society.'
I sat there motionless, looking at the card and reading it over and over. I looked up from the card and smiled to no one but myself and marveled that on this day, four Marines had all come together because one of us needed help. He was an old man all right, but it felt good to have stood next to greatness and courage, and an honor to have been in his presence.
Remember, OLD men like him gave us our FREEDOM in America. Thanks to those who served and still serve, and to all of those who supported them, and who continue to support them.
America is not at war. The U.S. Military is at war. America is at the Mall. If you don't stand behind our troops, PLEASE feel free to stand in front of them!
Remember, Freedom IS NOT free. Thousands have paid the price, so you can enjoy what you have today.
Let's do this - just 19 words:

Trump Needs to "Bust Up FANG"
Rush Limbaugh a few days ago went out on a limb to advise President Trump on what he should do soon if he's going to be re-elected in 2020.
What's that? It has to do with F.A.N.G.
That's Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, and Google!
Rush cites a recent article in USA Today by a professor which explains why he advises Trump to consider it. To read the transcript and see the video of Rush on his radio show explaining it, go here.
Four Ways to Avoid Fighting on Thanksgiving
This article was so good that I decided to include it as a post today. Good advice!= = = = = = = = = = = = = |

There's a crazy trend sweeping across America. It threatens to split the nation nearly in half. Until it does, turmoil will reign. We see it on the news each night. We hear it when we talk with friends and family. We even see it if we dare watch a football game. It's called political clustering. Few folks want to talk about it. It makes them squirm. It makes them question why they believe what they believe... something few folks bother to do, especially when they can simply turn on the TV or log on to the web and confirm what they know. What's happening, though, is quite simple. Humans have an innate tendency to live with and near like-minded folks. It's why pundits on Election Day can claim one county is overwhelmingly conservative while others lean liberal. It's a natural phenomenon. It feels good to be with folks like us. And even though it's unhealthy, it's never going to change. It's in our DNA. Ready for a Fight? As the cliché goes, you can pick your friends and you can pick your neighbors. But you can't pick your family. And as of tomorrow, we're officially in the time of year when families spend a lot of time together... sometimes too much time. With such a divisive political atmosphere smothering our country like a thick layer of smog, I predict a record number of families will be broken by politics this year. It's yet another nasty side effect of political clustering. We simply aren't used to being with folks unlike us - even if they are our kin. Here's how you can talk politics and avoid a family fight. First, we must answer a big ugly question... Why in the world should we talk politics anyway? If you can't answer that question... talk about something else. (We'd advise you to discuss something trivial like football or the weather, but even those topics have turned political these days.) If, however, you believe a political discussion will lead to you making smarter, wiser and more informed decisions... talk on. The bottom line is a political discussion should not be a debate or a persuasive speech. You're not going to change somebody's views by spewing your own. That must not be your goal. If it is, keep your mouth shut. But just because you're not looking for a fight doesn't mean the other guy isn't. You must have the verbal skills (we pray you won't need physical skills) to diffuse a good conversation gone bad. Here's the key when you find the temperature rising: It's hard for just one person to have an argument. An argument is like a stray cat. If you don't feed it, it will go away. Feed it, though, and you'll have a whole lot more. If the words get heated or personal, have the courage to change the subject. You Can't Change Me And here's the hardest part for most of us. You must know that listening to other folks' views won't erase your own. Aristotle said the mark of an educated man is the ability to entertain a thought without accepting it. We agree. Listen, we've all taken different paths in life. We all have unique experiences that shape our lives. I'm a deep-rooted conservative because my oh-so-unique path in life led me to a certain ideology. But I'm not ignorant of the fact that being a well-off white guy plays a big role in why I think the way I do. A good person understands his beliefs and yearns to hear others. It's quite unlikely a single idea will change our minds - that's not the intent, nor should it be - but it will help us make better decisions. And there's the positive side effect that understanding others will absolutely make us more successful and wealthier. It's often painful to listen to a disparaging view, especially without arguing a rebuttal, but I promise it won't erode your own views. It will only make them stronger. The Trump Card And finally, the No. 1 way to keep a political discussion sane is to walk away with some sort of homework. "Hmmm, Aunt Edna, I never heard that fact before. It's interesting. I'll research it further and consider it." Boom... no matter how out of touch her idea is, crazy Aunt Edna feels like she got her point across. Meanwhile, you - and your own ideas - walk away unscathed and unchanged. And, who knows, you may have learned something. It's another reason curiosity is a key trait in a good, successful person. If you're truly curious, you shouldn't dread holiday political discussions. You should yearn for them. They'll make you a better man, with stronger beliefs. Be well, Andy |

Trump Is A Nationalist, Oh My!
A few weeks ago, Pres. Trump told a rally for one of the candidates in the mid-term elections that he was a nationalist.
The MSM went crazy, calling it a "dog-whistle" for his followers that he's a white supremacist, or fascist.
Really?
If the talking heads on CNN (Communist News Network) say it, does it make it so? For those who've been conditioned to believe whatever they say, yes.
But, for those who use their brain and the skill of critical thinking, doing a little research on the word reveals an opposite meaning than what Pres. Macron said to his people at a massive rally event on the 11th of this month; shortly after the meeting held between he and Pres. Trump.
Here's a clip from "The Next Revolution" on this issue I believe you'll find rather amusing.
It's obvious to me, and many others, I suspect, that Macron is mad that the president's visit didn't turn out the way Macron had hoped when learning that France will have to start paying much more for their country's protection under NATO, or the U.S. will back out.

The Caravan Arrives
Well, as you may have noticed, it's been 10 days since I've posted any items. Partly because I've been busy with personal things, but also because I got so disgusted with what's been going on with the - mid-term elections, the Florida recounts, the incivility of Jim Acosta at the White House Q&A, the fires going on in CA, etc. - that I realized it wasn't worth taking the time to comment on them.
The caravan coming north, with the very first arrivals reaching the border yesterday, is the topic I wanted to share with my readers is a priority I believe is of the greatest importance for our nation.
Of course, the MSM has been telling the country that the thousands of people making the trek through Mexico are coming for political asylum and that most of them are women and children from Honduras. However, those who use their brains to think realize that there's something very strange and deceptive about this whole thing.
How can so many people manage to walk so far in sneakers? How are they managing to eat along the way? What about those who have physical problems; sickness, blisters, medical needs of various types, etc.? Something's fishy!
Finally, a video from Ami Horowitz - the full-length one that's not been edited to fit into the 30 seconds slot given by Carlson, Hannity, or Ingraham - is what more accurately reveals some of the truths regarding the questions asked above.
It validates some of the information I posted a couple of weeks ago when I linked to an article that named George Soros, the U.N., the Ford Foundation and a few others, who were assisting those on the ground in Mexico to support the caravan marchers.
Some reports I've seen have even pointed out that many of the women and children have disappeared from the caravan recently as they got closer to the border, and it's suspected that they've been abducted by drug cartel members who've taken them for being sold into the human trafficking trade.

Take A Knee With Me
Take a knee with me ...
Take a little trip to Valley Forge in January. Hold a musket ball in your fingers and imagine it piercing your flesh and breaking a bone or two. There won't be a doctor or trainer to assist you until after the battle, so just wait your turn. Take your cleats and socks off to get a real experience and pray you don't freeze to death before the doctor gets to you.
Then, take a knee on the beach in Normandy where man after American man stormed the beach, even as the one in front of him was shot to pieces, the very sea stained with American blood. The only blockers most had were the dead bodies in front of them, riddled with bullets from enemy fire.
Take a knee in the sweat soaked jungles of Vietnam. From Khe Sanh to Saigon, anywhere will do. Americans died in all those jungles. There was no playbook that told them what was next, but they knew what flag they represented. When they came home, they were protested as well, and spit on
for reasons only cowards know.
Take another knee in the blood drenched sands of Fallujah in 110 degree heat. Wear your Kevlar helmet and battle dress. Your number won't be printed on it unless your number is up! You'll need to stay hydrated but there won't be anyone to squirt Gatorade into your mouth. You're on your own.
There are a lot of places to take a knee where Americans have given their lives all over the world. When you use the banner under which they fought as a source for your displeasure, you dishonor the memories of those who bled for the very freedoms you have. That's what the red stripes mean. It represents the blood of those who spilled a sea of it defending your liberty.
While you're on your knee, pray for those that came before you, not on a manicured lawn striped and printed with numbers to announce every inch of ground taken, but on nameless hills and bloodied beaches and sweltering forests and bitter cold mountains, every inch marked by an American life lost serving that flag you protest.
No cheerleaders, no announcers, no coaches, no fans, just American men and women, delivering the real fight against those who chose to harm us, blazing a path so you would have the right to "take a knee." You haven't any inkling of what it took to get you where you are, but your "protest" is
duly noted. Not only is it disgraceful to a nation of real heroes, it serves the purpose of pointing to your ingratitude for those who chose to defend you under that banner that will still wave long after your jersey is retired.
If you really feel the need to take a knee, come with me to church on Sunday and we'll both kneel before Almighty God. We'll thank Him for preserving this country for as long as He has. We'll beg forgiveness for our ingratitude for all He has provided us. We'll appeal to Him for understanding and wisdom. We'll pray for liberty and justice for all, because He is the one who provides those things. But there will be no
protest. There will only be gratitude for His provision and a plea for His continued grace and mercy on the land of the free and the home of the brave. It goes like this, GOD BLESS AMERICA!
