A Sad Note on This Holy Day

While this news is sad to hear, I think most of us who know anything about the Holy Bible know that this news is really not a surprise since this was prophesied in the last book of that volume.

Here's an article on The Hill site which gives us this sad news which, I'm sure, many of us are donating to various organizations that are doing their best to provide these Christians support and comfort during their time of distress.

Christmas Eve of 1776

By Christmas Eve of 1776, the American Revolution was, in essence, over. The Americans had lost. George Washington was out of options. His army, now down to only a few thousand, had lost seven battles in a row and was freezing on the west bank of the Delaware River awaiting the end. The British, on the other hand had 33,000 soldiers, well over a hundred ships and were partying in New York City and preparing for the final surrender. Most of the American troops had resolve, but they had lost hope that England could ever be defeated.

Half of Washington’s army, 1,500 men, were quitting that week and going home because their enlistments were up. Washington decided on one final offensive. He gathered the same fishermen who had helped him retreat in August from New York and had his beleaguered troops ferried across the half frozen Delaware at midnight on Christmas Day. Just before they boarded the boats, the General had the American Crisis, the challenge by Thomas Paine, read to the men.

“These are the times that try men’s souls: the summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it now deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: ‘Tis dearness only that gives everything its value. Heaven knows how to set a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed, if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated.”

Washington and his troops crossed the Delaware and routed the Hessian mercenaries with a victory that changed the course of history. Almost all of the American soldiers re-enlisted. France began to support the cause and hope reinvigorated the colonists.

On December 23 and 24, many boats were collected and secured with the help of experienced seamen.The crossing began at sundown December 25, and lasted all night amid horrendous weather:  rain, sleet, snow, ice, and winds that were called a hurricane.

It was daylight on December 26 when troops reassembled on the Jersey shore.  They marched 9 miles to Trenton where they surprised and defeated a contingent of British-allied Hessian troops, took them prisoner and captured their food, supplies and horses.

That was the early turning point in the American Revolution, thanks to the leadership of George Washington against all odds.  Trump displays the same kind of initiative needed to put our Nation back on the path sought by our Founders.

Amid the current Democrat-caused shutdown, Trump delivers to the People the best Christmas present a president can give:  leadership to Make America Great Again.

Stock Market Dive: What's Really Going On?

The stock market has taken a "precipitous" plunge on the eve of Christmas!

While those who make a living from following and reporting on the market's behavior, their tendency to report on what's going on regarding this event, in my opinion, is missing the bigger picture of why investors are selling shares.

Of course, the Media (D) is no doubt taking this news and carefully crafting it to come across to the viewer that it is because of the president's actions and policies; ie: his unwillingness to sign any legislation which doesn't include funding for the wall on the southern border. Their view is akin to focusing on one's nose, while not looking at the horizon ahead of you. I know my financial planner has always harped on the attitude that if one' going to invest, one must go into it with a 30+ years view.

This, naturally, will dampen, if not cause varying degrees of anxiety and fear by those don't understand the possibility of  another factor which plays into this situation.

This MSM angle is ignoring the reality of the situation. Investors buy because they are confident that the policies will ensure that their investment will grow and make them more wealthy. So, if these investors have been paying attention to the political scene - and any wise investor does - he/she will have determined that with the House about to be taken over by the liberal/leftists next month, now is the best time to pull back whatever gains they've made.

They know from the eight years of the Obama administration that Democrats are not only anti-American in their attitudes, but that they are now hell bent on doing whatever it takes to hinder anything they can of Pres. Trump's future actions; including commencing impeachment hearings and causing further declines in the confidence of investors and economic growth.

Rush Limbaugh on today's - he was live on Christmas Eve's morning show - third hour opening spoke to this point. When the transcript is posted, I'll put it up here.

Then too, there may be another factor which could be playing into this scenario, which I posted about yesterday, potentially occurring within the next week.

These two videos listed below should be watched and considered. Based on what you may know, or understand, I recommend that you pay attention to what MAY happen in the next few weeks. There have been indications over the past several months that such an event might be triggered.

Let me just say this... Better to be prepared, than caught with your "pants down around your ankles." If nothing happens, then no foul; at least in regards to what we may be impacted by from such a situation. However, if anything - like what these two videos say may occur - then you will hopefully be safe and secure.

A PLANE IS ON ITS WAY TO WASHINGTON DC, WHEN THE NEWLY ELECTED DEMOCRAT OCASIO-CORTEZ IN ECONOMY CLASS GETS UP AND MOVES TO THE FIRST CLASS SECTION AND SITS DOWN.

THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT WATCHES HER DO THIS AND ASKS TO SEE HER TICKET.  

SHE THEN TELLS THE FUTURE CONGRESSWOMAN THAT SHE PAID FOR ECONOMY CLASS AND THAT SHE WILL HAVE TO SIT IN THE BACK.  

CORTEZ REPLIES, "I'M A DEMOCRAT, I'M BEAUTIFUL, I'M SOCIALIST, I'M GOING TO DC AND I'M STAYING RIGHT HERE."  

THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT GOES INTO THE COCKPIT AND TELLS THE PILOT AND THE CO-PILOT THAT THERE IS A NITWIT YOUNG WOMAN SITTING IN FIRST CLASS, THAT BELONGS IN ECONOMY AND WON'T MOVE BACK TO HER SEAT.  

THE CO-PILOT GOES BACK TO CORTEZ AND TRIES TO EXPLAIN THAT BECAUSE SHE ONLY PAID FOR ECONOMY SHE WILL HAVE TO LEAVE AND RETURN TO ECONOMY.  

CORTEZ REPLIES, "I'M A DEMOCRAT, I'M BEAUTIFUL, I'M SOCIALIST, I'M GOING TO DC AND I'M STAYING RIGHT HERE."  

THE CO-PILOT TELLS THE PILOT THAT HE PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE THE POLICE WAITING WHEN THEY LAND TO ARREST THE FUTURE CONGRESSWOMAN WHO WON'T LISTEN TO REASON.  

THE PILOT SAYS, "YOU SAY SHE IS A DEMOCRAT SOCIALIST? I’LL HANDLE THIS, I'M MARRIED TO A LIBERAL. I SPEAK SOCIALIST."  

HE GOES BACK TO THE DEMOCRAT AND WHISPERS IN HER EAR, AND SHE SAYS, "OH, I'M SORRY." AND GETS UP AND GOES BACK TO HER SEAT IN ECONOMY.  

THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT AND CO-PILOT ARE AMAZED AND ASK HIM WHAT HE SAID TO MAKE HER MOVE WITHOUT ANY FUSS. 

"I TOLD HER, 'FIRST CLASS ISN'T GOING TO DC."

It Just Keeps Getting More Interesting

The national scene has become tense with rancor and focused frustration by the people who elected a leader they believed could stand up against all odds.

While that belief has yet to bear fruit, many situations are shifting by the minute as the government's inaction and infighting has created yet another looming shutdown.

What most Media (D) have not told their viewers about government shutdowns is that about 85% of government stays operating; only non-essential federal employees are sent home and the lights turn off until the funding is signed by the President.

After Rep. Pelosi vowed that there would not be enough votes to fund the wall on the southern border, the House yesterday passed a bill which does just that. Now, the "ball" is in Sen. McConnel's lap to get it passed there.

However, a Purple Heat veteran who lost three of his limbs in service to our country has raised over $10.5 million on GoFundMe to help pay for the wall.

In Congress, Rep. Gutierrez went religious on DHS Secretary Neilsen went he ranted about how Jesus would have perished if the wall kept his family from leaving for Egypt, then while she was responding to why it was needed, he promptly got up and walked out of the hearing. Sec. Neilsen threw it right back in his face with their own arguments about separating family members. Obviously he didn't like that, so he left.

Those who elected Pres. Trump are expressing their frustration with him more frequently in stronger terms as is expressed in this blog. (Warning: While the font size is small and may be difficult to read for those with vision issues, this post best expresses much of the sentiment of those who are frustrated with the success of the the anti-Americans in Congress on the left against funding the wall. They know if it gets built, it will be the death of their plan to bolster their voter base to stay politically viable.)

Enigmas

(1) Isn't it weird that in America our flag and our culture offend so many people, but our benefits don't?

(2) How can the federal government ask U.S. citizens to pay back student loans, when illegal aliens are receiving a free education?

3) Only in America are legal citizens labeled "racists" and "Nazis" but illegal aliens are called "Dreamers."

(4) Liberals say, "If confiscating all guns saves just one life, it's worth it!"  Well then, if deporting all illegals saves just one life, wouldn't that be worth it?

(5) I can't quite figure out how you can proudly wave the flag of another country but consider it punishment to be sent back there.

(6) The Constitution: It doesn't need to be rewritten; it needs to be reread.

(7) William F. Buckley said: "Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other points of view and are then shocked and offended when they discover there are other points of view."

(8) Joseph Sobran said: "'Need' now means wanting someone else's money.  'Greed' means wanting to keep your own.  'Compassion' is when a politician arranges the transfer.

(9) Florida has had 119 hurricanes since 1850, but some people still insist the last one was due to climate change.
