Making Sense of the Unthinkable in America

With so many instances happening today at our national level of government which are shocking and perplexing to many of its citizens, it's critical we understand the history behind how we as a nation have evolved to this point.

For context, it's necessary to go back to 1776 in Philidelphia. When asked by a woman on the street as Benjamin Franklin was coming out of what we now know as Liberty Hall, he was asked by her, "What have you given us, sir?" His response was very prophetic. He replied, "A Constitutional Republic will be the best form of government, but only until the citizens are duped into voting for their federal government to supply all their needs."

As I've pointed out here in previous posts, the reader will recall that Hillary did her college thesis on the writings of a man she admired, and Obama had his ghost-writer, Bill Ayres, write about in his book, "Dreams of My Father".

Saul Alinsky died about 43 years ago. However, his writings have influenced many who are in politics today; the Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocassio-Cortez types, to name just a few. His seminal writing was his book, "Rules for Radicals", a quintessential guide for those wishing to be activitists who wish to use the Fabian Socialist model for overthrowing a country's established government. His follow-up book was titled, "Reveille for Radicals".

If there's anyone who doesn't think that Alinsky's rules aren't currently impacting our nation's shift towards socialism today, is merely ignorant, or deliberately refusing to accept the facts. All eight rules are in play, if one but examines them.

These eight levels of control must be achieved before the situation is set for creating a socialist state; the first being the most important of them all.
  1. Healthcare - Control healthcare and you control the people.
  2. Poverty - Increase the poverty level as high as possible; poor people are easier to control because they are dependent, and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
  3. Debt - Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. This way taxes are easily increased producing more poverty.
  4. Gun Control - Remove the ability to defend themselves from the government. This way it's easier to create a police state.
  5. Welfare - Take control of every aspect of their lives; food, housing, income.
  6. Education - Take control of what the youth of the country learn and over time the generations will believe a lie, no matter how absurd and far fetched it might be. Does the Green New Deal ring a bell? (I would include the Media (D) in this for the effective brainwashing they engage in.)
  7. Religion - Remove, or modify, the belief in God as a critical component of government, society and schools and you eventually have a dominant humanist world view.
  8. Class Warfare - Divide the people into wealthy versus poor. This will cause more discontent and will be easier to take (tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.
Do any of these rules sound to you like what's happening in the United States today?

Alinsky mereky simplified Vladamir Lenin's original scheme for world conquest via communism, under Russian rule. Stalin described his converts as "Useful Idiots."

These Useful Idiots have destroyed every nation in which they have seized power and control; China, Cambodia, and Venezuela to name just a few. To deny that it's not happening at an alarming rate in the U.S. today is to either be delusional, or living in isolation in a cave somewhere.

Why Today's Students Are "Dumbed Down"

My 10 years of substitute teaching experience, as well as 30 years as a full-time teacher in public schools, makes it easy for me to explain why students today are “dumbed down.”

Admittedly, my experience is from a comparison of only three districts; my career district,  a neighboring smaller, but more conservative community, as well as a private Christian district. Nevertheless, I believe it is simply a smaller representation of a nation-wide problem.

While there is an equitable mix of students, I believe the real reason which contributes to their "dumbing down" lies elsewhere.

Having substituted in many different classes over the years at all levels from K-12, the one glaring factor contributing to students learning being less rigorous today is not so much the curriculum content, but the social, and organizational/study skills, combined with the style of discipline enforced in schools; especially in the 3rd - 6th grades.

These formative years are critical to instilling in students that the skills they learn and develop during these years establish the foundation of their future learning experience into their upper grades, of either success or failure.

While there are varying instructional strategies utilized by many in the profession, it's my experience that very few today demand and maintain expectations that empowers students while holding them accountable for their own learning and behavior.

A teacher who commands and enforces an expectation that a specific order and process of what is appropriate group behavior, such as using common social courtesy of being patient and waiting one's turn before disrupting everyone else in the group is missing.

This kind of dysfunctional environment in the private school doesn't exist for a couple of simple reasons. Parent expectations, home environments that are stable and loving, and social skills having been taught at home bring a functional dynamic to the classroom of the private school. As a result, the prevailing learning environment is one of a much higher quality when it comes to the teacher/student interaction during instruction or Q&A sessions at the same grades in private schools.

Skills taught in public school classes are lacking on how to focus, listen, or even carefully read the directions on the top of the worksheet provided and to think about directions read, or given. Instead, they just give up easily and resort to more disruptive activities.

In my opinion, this situation is occurring in too many classrooms I've substituted in. It exists because their regular instructors either do not consistently command and expect a high level of behavior, or lack those very skills themselves.

Bottom line, those students who want to learn are essentially being held back, or not being challenged. The current situation does not foster a quality experience.

Here's a great article which points out how the "dumbed down" student then reaches college and becomes thoroughly indoctrinated by the college/university professors; 95% of which are socialists.

Even MORE informative regarding how our nation's current situation has come to where we find ourselves today, we must go back to an interview in the '80s of a defected KGB agent from the Soviet Union who explains in detail what their plan was to win their long-range war of taking over the United States. THIS IS A MUST WATCH!

What Second Amendment?

Got the following message from the NRA-ILA today and here's what it said:
= = = = = = = = = =
A number of gun control bills have moved to the Washington state Senate floor and your state Senator needs to hear from you.  Please ... contact your state Senator and urge them to OPPOSE Senate Bills 5062, 5174, 5434, 5143, 5027, 5745, and 5181.

SB 5062 would ban most standard capacity magazines commonly used by law-abiding citizens, such as with handguns popular for self-defense.

SB 5174 would increase the government red tape that law-abiding citizens must go through in order to obtain a Concealed Pistol License.

The so called “gun-free zones” that SB 5434 expands would only hinder law-abiding citizens with Concealed Pistol Licenses and prevent them from defending themselves and their loved ones while doing nothing to stop criminals who simply ignore such arbitrary boundaries.

SB 5143 would result in property being confiscated without first going through due process and citizens being subjected to bureaucratic red tape to get their property returned.

Senate Bills 5027 would infringe upon the self-defense rights of law-abiding parents or other household members without due process for simply having a minor in the house who is a respondent to an Extreme Risk Protection Order.

SB 5745 would expand a flawed law to allow constitutional rights to be suspended from even more individuals without due process on baseless accusations.

SB 5181 would suspend constitutional rights without due process from those who a not convicted of any offense or adjudicated as mentally ill.

Why do I get the feeling that liberal/socialists don't care there's a second amendment in our U.S. Constitution?
