When attempting to have any kind of conversation with a liberal leftist today, there are very few who are willing, or able, to discuss, let alone think with any degree of logic and rationality.
For instance, if applying to the topic being discussed the concept "If the shoe were on the other foot." to point out how a double standard exists in an attempt to apply reason, rarely will they even answer the question related to the concept of a double standard, but completely change the subject by going off on a tangent about something unrelated, but that is bolstering their point of view. Usually this is because of one of two things... they have no reasonable answer to counter it, or they have no idea what you're getting at; it doesn't computer for them.
Case in point... a report on Breitbart's web site has recently reported about a show called The Good Fight - note even the show's title is carefully named in order to sound as though it's on the proper side of an issue - where the idea of assassinating President Trump is best for the sake of regime change. As the article mentions, this seems to be their "dogwhistle" to another of their many deranged members we know of who've tried to kill Congressmen at a softball field, or other elected officials in the past.
While the show's co-creator, Robert King, claims it is a reflection of the political climate for Democrats today, it seems to me that the executives who made the decision to allow the show to have such remarks in it have no interest in how this is perceived by conservative viewers who would be offended by them. Using the "shoe on the other foot" analogy, we conservatives know full well that they NEVER would have allowed such remarks to be on such a show if it aired, say, eight years ago.
And, if this point is brought up in a discussion on some show like Tucker Carlson's, you can count on the kind of response about it from the liberal leftist individual being confronted with it... they'll just laugh and make some remark about "Birthers".
