The Typical Double Standard of the Leftists

In 2012 the people of Washington state passed an initiative to allow charter schools to operate as an alternative to public schools. It was a narrow victory for those parents seeking an option to what their children were dealing with attending public schools where their child was either bullied or weren't challenged enough, or both.

The state teacher's union, theWEA, fought this tooth and nail. But, like the liberal leftists they are, the persisted in attempting to block charter schools from operating even after losing the initiative battle, clearly sending the message to the parents that they didn't respect the will of the people because liberal leftists know they're right and everyone else is just too stupid to understand what's best for them.

With the State Supreme Court in the WEA's pocket politically, the court declared charter schools unconstitutional for the state at the last minute before the charter schools which had been approved through an arduous process were about to open in September of 2014.

Now, the State's Supreme Court is rehearing the issue, but the "fix is in" as is typical for leftists. ShiftWA today has reported how the WEA is once again playing the double-standard in their favor regarding this new hearing for charter schools:
After state Supreme Court Justice Mary Yu delivered a speech to the charter school-hating WEA, some charter school parents are wondering if they can expect a fair ruling in the charter school case. Yu’s speech on Saturday to the state teachers union (WEA), which also donated to Yu’s campaign, comes as the court prepares to hear a case brought by the union against the state’s charter schools. Many suggest Yu’s appearance shows a clear bias in favor of the union. (Tacoma News Tribune)
When it comes to claiming the WEA cares about children in this state getting a quality education, they fail to clarify their point by admitting that it actually means only if they get to control who gets to dictate the curriculum and collection of union dues to remain in control of legislative lobbying in Olympia. I call that a monopoly... they call it "fair".
